Dragnet – English

And today ….. we are going to talk about one of the best intros in the history of DiD. Dragnet 1966.

Why? Well, because this movie have some of the best bondage scenes and plots of that time, but today, people still consider these scenes the best.

Dragnet, a cult series from the late 60s.

Dragnet was a successful crime series in the United States, in which supposedly real cases and their resolution were presented every week.

What today would be very close to Law and Order, Police (Spain) or the famous CSI (Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Albacete …), but without as much fantasy as getting a gum stuck in the victim’s shoe the email address, then search on facebook, get 357 contacts, link them through a supercomputer with windowsXP, and get the suspect.

All the episodes had the same pattern. Part 1, case reception. Part 2, investigation of the case and search for the bad guys. Part 3, resolution of the case. Of course, there is a great part, in the end, the bad guy appears with the penalty imposed by the law.

Summary

Two policemen, not rebels, Sergeant Joe Friday and his partner Bill Gannon, are the protagonists of this series, and they investigate crimes in the city of Los Angeles.

Dragnet 1966. The Movie

Initially it was thought as a pilot for the series, chapter number 00, but it was not broadcast until 1969, in the third season.

The plot consists of a series of disappearances of various women, some of them photography models, whose case is assigned to Sergeant Friday and Gannon. The investigation focuses on the surroundings of a club where single people gather, and it is there that some of the missing girls have been seen for the last time.

The Intro

The intro begins with the city of Los Angeles, explaining the amount of dangers that are there.

And as an example, there are crime scenes, a man being thrown out of a car in a junkyard … a kind of murder in a hotel … and best of all, and the first scene.

A young blonde behind some rocks, tied up, gagged, and surrounded by cameras to record the moment.

And as she struggles to free herself, the wicked baddie approaches her with a rope in his hands, tightening it as when subject A wants to strangle subject B.

And there … begins the longest chapter of Dragnet.

And the episode.

A warning to police moviegoers, I'm not going to get distracted by the whole plot of the episode, and if I'm going to focus on the part that Encorda2Gal fans surely like. Those who want to go deeper into the Dragnet world, I leave some cool links at the end.

So, let’s go.

Once they have the missing models case assigned, Friday and Gannon review the reports with the data of the victims in the car, on the way to the first clue, the husband of the last missing person. Here we can already see the first approach of the plot.

After the visit, they find more evidence, which brings them closer to some events that they carry out in a social club, where they will try to interrogate the participants in a fun way. Meanwhile, the clues are fading, with the appearance of the bodies of the 2 suspects. But in the meantime, another girl disappears.

In a hurry to find her, they begin to «tie up» (joking) ends and with the help of the robot sketch made in the interrogations, they manage to reach a caravan campsite, where they surround the murderer, under heavy rain. After a struggle of the time, they manage to keep the possible scene of the crimes, the caravan, intact. And especially with the murderer arrested

Interrogation …. It is then that the murderer leads them to a toolbox, military green. And once open, a large number of photos appear. Friday inspects them, and manages to recognize the last missing women. She shows them one by one to the murderer, recognizing each of their names.

After confessing the crimes, several photographers await the confessions for the newspapers, and that is when Friday finally gets him to tell him why he killed them privately. But without an iota of remorse.

«They’d rather be dead than be with me!”

Bondage Images

Interesting stuff. This film is based on a real case, and the making of the film was advised by detectives and policemen who solved the case in real life. And although I have not confirmed it 100%, I think it is the case of Harvey Glatman.

On the scene of the intro, being realistic, Thordis Brandt, who is the actress who plays the role, can fuck and leave whenever he wants. The handkerchief is very loose and the wrists and ankles knots, as they lack a bit of tightening.

On the other hand, I suppose that for the time, it was politically correct, because it is a way of not showing so much suffering.

The sequence in which the lens focuses in on Thordis is simply magnificent.

About the last photos, they are all based on the Glatman case. And in them you can see the same pattern, blanket on the ground in a secluded place and waiting to be strangled by the murderer.

An unfortunate case in which bondage was taken to the extreme that it should not go. Among the victims is one of the models with the most projection in the world of Bondage, Judy Ann Dull.

I leave you several sites to delve into this wonderful series. I know that now there are digital platforms that release a series every week, but I think it is a very good series. Some chapters can be found on youtube, others, it is difficult.

And two blogs for those who are interested in the series. If you get the chapters of course, that is difficult.
